GITEX 2013 – From tweets to iPad minis

Last updated: 11 April 2014

After a week of innovative technology demonstrations, packed conferences and inspiring speeches, GITEX 2013 is today drawing to a close. In addition to the end of the exhibition, this day also marks the close of our GITEX iPad Mini competition.

Throughout the week, we’ve been on the look-out for the most insightful tweets about our solutions and demonstrations on display at the DWTC (the home of GITEX). Those using the hashtag #GemaltoGITEX all had a chance to win, but it was those with the best tweets who have been rewarded with an iPad mini. Here are the three winners:

Our first winner was Chandni Dewani. Her tweets were impossible to miss and were wide-ranging, mentioning POP wings, NFC payments, M2M, Gemalto innovation, as well as our work through social media.

Here is one of her many tweets that caught our attention:

Our second winner was Preeth K.P who also tweeted a wide range of observations to us. In addition to POP wings and NFC payments, K.P also highlighted our designer bank cards and Enterprise Security Solutions.

Here is Preeth’s winning tweet:

Our third and final winner was Tasneem A Majeed. Tasneem almost highlighted the complete range of our services in a series of tweets throughout the week. But it was her insight on Gemalto Mobile ID and our Trusted Service Manager that caught our eye the most.

Here is Tasneem’s winning tweet:

And here are the winning reactions:

We’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate our winning tweeters, and to thank all those who have come to see us this week at GITEX. We’ll be back next year, and we’ll be on the lookout for tweets once again with #GemaltoGITEX.
