This month, in place of an Advent Calendar, we’ve been running a special, M2M-themed countdown to the holidays. We’ve called it the Gemalto M2M Holiday Calendar; it’s a both a countdown and a chance to win an iPad Air for those who can answer the trivia question of the day. Behind each day/window, we’re revealing our favorite M2M goodies coupled with a related multiple choice question; each time you participate by playing the game, your name will be entered in a random draw to win an iPad Air, so why not give it go and test your M2M knowledge?
We’ve already seen the Cinterion Concept Board, MIM and SensorLogic Application Enablement Platform revealed, along with some tricky questions, such as “How can OEMs easily add industrial-grade connectivity to any M2M device equipped with a SIM socket?”; but it’s not too late to test your knowledge – you can try all the questions revealed to date until the 24th. And when trying the questions, as well as exploring the M2M products hidden behind each window, bear in mind how these M2M goodies could help turn your own ideas into a reality. Whilst the entry deadline for our IoTMaker Challenge has now passed, it’s never too late to come up with your own M2M/IoT idea for the future. Perhaps a Cinterion Concept Board or a MIM could be the key to making your dream into the next big innovation for us all. A Cinterion module for example was the key to the world’s first eCall from Europe to Russia or could be a key component of a Traffic Accident Detector. If you need further inspiration, check out all our posts in the IoTMaker series; or, if you want inspiration from just one post, check out our top five picks from Vala Afshar’s 40 amazing IoT solutions to make up a trillion dollar market.
And don’t forget, at present we’re shortlisting entries to the IoTMaker Challenge before we hand them over to a panel of esteemed judges. Then, the winning idea will be made into reality by our M2M experts who’ll work with the winner to develop a proof ahead of Mobile World Congress 2015. So make sure you keep an eye on the blog to see what happens! And have fun with the calendar; good luck to all those hoping to win an iPad Air!
