In early May Gemalto held two events at which we recognised the outstanding work of our digital security partners in accelerating organisations’ digital growth over the past year.
On 7 May 2019, we decided to take in the breathtaking views of Stockholm at Hotel At Six, the city’s newest five-star luxury hotel. Gemalto executives Aydin Ucbasaran, Keith Hale and Jason Hart were pleased to present TCS with the “Newcomer of the Year” award at this first partner event. We based our decision on the company’s two new logos in media and insurance.
We also used the evening to recognise Cygate with our “Deal of the Year” award. Cygate is an important partner to us both in Finland and Sweden, where they operate. This Partner demonstrated what they were capable of last year when they completed the first deal for 100 Gb High Speed Encryption solution in the world—one of the largest deals of 2018.
At our Nordic partner event, we also presented SecMaker with our “Cross- Portfolio Partner Award” and Tieto with our “Authentication Service Provider Award.”
Two days later, we enjoyed our second event in the company of 40 partner attendees at London Zoo Regents Park in the United Kingdom. At the event Gemalto executives Aydin Ucbasaran and Phil Holmes joined me to present several awards to some of our outstanding UK partners.
One of those partners was Softcat, who received our “Reseller of the Year” award. Softcat deserved every bit of this honour. With a year-over-year growth rate of more than 100 percent over the last three years, Softcat sold the entire Gemalto suite of products in 2018. In one deal, Softcat provided one of Gemalto’s access management solutions to a central government defence organization with 12,500 users, representing one of the largest single SAS deals of the year for us in the UK.
We were also pleased to present Lee Georgio, owner of Net-Ctrl, with Gemalto’s “Lifetime Achievement Award.” This honour recognised Net-Ctrl as one of Gemalto’s most focused and committed partners over a period of more than 15 years. Not only has Net-Ctrl attended every single partner conference; it also has a specific team dedicated to Gemalto that maintains a 90 percent renewal rate for our products. We were therefore pleased to present Net-Ctrl’s own Eric MacFarlane with our “Techie of the Year” award at the same event.
In addition to these awards, we used our UK partner event to present Matt Weller at Bytes with our “Rising Star” award and Sec Data with our “Deal of the Year” distinction.
We at Gemalto feel honoured to be working with such amazing partners. We are proud of all they’ve done to help old and new customers drive their growth using Gemalto products. We look forward very much to continuing this work and deepening these partnerships over the coming years.
